Nyt on kirjakokoelma käyty läpi ja poistuvia kirjoja löytyi melkoisen suuri laatikollinen. Itseasiassa melkein puolet kaikista kirjoista. Joukossa kaikenlaista hömppää, hörhöyttä, romskuja, vanhoja sanakirjoja ynnä muuta. Esim. Ankka bongasi itselleen jo Websters Comperehensive Dictionaryn. 

Tulkaa siis kylään juomaan teetä ja kaivelemaan laatikoita! Kirjalaatikon saa tyhjentää se joka ensiksi ehtii ja viitsii.
Tällä viikolla esim. voi tulla melkeinpä koska vaan.

Tulevan muuton ajankohta alkaa lähestyä ja siksi onkin hyvä hetki alkaa miettiä tavarakuorman pienentämistä. Tuleva asunto kun tulee mitä todennäköisimmin olemaan nykyistä yhden huoneen verran pienempi ja meillä on kolmioonkin aika paljon tavaraa....
Melko dramattisia vähennystoimia siis tarvitaan.

Jonkinmoista vaatimatonta korvausta vastaan uuden omistajan matkaan lähtisivät mielellään
-eteisen kirjahylly (Ancka?)
-neljän hengen ruokapöytä ja neljä tuolia, pyökin värinen setti Kodin1:sestä, pitkään palvellut mutta siistin näköinen
-sinertävän vihreä vuodesohva, kookas ja jämäkkä, mukava nukkua. Täyspitkä, levittettynä n. 120cm leveä.
-Toshiba läppäri (IvyBitch?)
-Kahvinkeitin, OBH Nordica King of Coffee, hyvin vähän käytetty, takuuaikaakin vielä melkein 3v jäljellä. (Kiiluva)
-GoreTex-puku, Fjälräven, naisten S-koko, sinimusta, väljä malli. (Gen)
-Espressokeitin, mallia mutteripannu (ei kuitenkaan sellainen perinteinen mutterin muotoinen vaan modernimpi), harjattua terästä

Huonekaluista ym. voidaan toimittaa kuvia mahdollisesti kiinnostuneille. Kuljetusta en valitettavasti pysty millekkään isommalle autottamana järjestämään, mutta Anckkis sanoi tietävänsä mahdollisesti joitakin tuttuja, jotka voisivat saada pakua lainaan jne. joten eiköhän nuokin jotenkin kuitenkin järjestyisi.

Tarjolla tulee olemaan myös erittäin sekalaisia kirjoja sille ken vaan viitsii niitä pois kantaa
(luultavasti suurin osa ei niin kovin jänskiä, vaan ehkä enemmänkin tyyppiä "lue kerran  ja pistä sitten kiertoon" mutta kuitenkin) jahka saan ensin katsottua mitkä kirjat ainakin aion pitää ja mitkä saavat lähteä.

Lisäksi löytyisi ihan pois kannettavaksi
-yhdet täyspitkät viininpunaisehkot verhot,
-viinilaseja (Amphelice)
-kuoharilaseja (Amphelice)
-Haltin talvimakuupussi, Extrem L (sen verran reilu koko että passaa miehellekin)
-Sotkan pieni lipasto, pyökin värinen, kolme laatikkoa (Amphelice)
ja varmaan vaikka mitä muuta, mutta nämä nyt ensimmäisinä tulivat mieleen.

Kirjoista voidaan järjestää jossain kohtaa noutokatselmus vaikka teekupposten äärellä, jahka olen vähän ehtinyt lajitella niitä.

Siberian Siiri is now  a bit over 4 moths old and pretty as hell. A little heart breaker <3
She is most eager to cuddle all the time and obviously she thinks she owns me. I have become her personal comfy chair. She sleeps in our bed and every morning she wakes up about an hour before the alarm goes off and wakes us up with powerfull purring, face licking and hair nibling. "Breakfast time, humans!"  Oh joy. Very endearing in a way but sooooo frustrating. She usually is most persistent...

She is almost always hungry but regrettably quite picky. It feels like she demands food once every hour and eats even bigger portions than our chubby boy did as a little kitten. Chicken in all forms (boiled, canned, dried, raw) and kibbles are her favorites. And of course, naturally,  we're out of kibbles and canned chicken...  (Of course I've ordered more  from zooplus, days ago actually, but for some odd reason the order hasn't even been prosessed yet. Bah.) Maybe it is time for her to learn to eat some patés, too?

Siiri is also attending her first cat show at the end of the month with her breeder and I'll be there too to hold her paw. Exiting!:) ( I never thought I'd be intrested n cat shows, but of course I hope our girl shall be the prettiest. (I already pretty sure she'll be very friendly and well behaving. She's a good natured little beast.)

Olen alusta asti ollut kattini kanssa ainakin puoliksi raakaruokintalinjalla, kun ajattelen sen olevan terveellisin vahtoehto ja kun onneksi meidän möllille myös ihan ongelmitta tuo lihatavara maistuu. (Ihan kokonaan en jaksa raakaruokkijaksi ruveta, kun purkkiruoka on niin kätevää ja laadukkaitakin vaihtoehtoja löytyy. Lisäksi minulla on tiettävästi vielä muutakin elämää kuin kissa... tilanne saattaa tosin muutua, kun niitä pentuja alkaa putkahdella;)). Liharuokinnan kanssa on kuitenkin tähän asti onllut ongelmana soveliaan lihan hankkiminen soveliaaseen hintaan ja soveliaan kokoisissa pakkauksissa (kun kilpailija myy ainoastaan sikaisoja könttejä ja toimituspaikka on jossain huitsin kuusessa...)

Testasin tänään ensimmäistä kertaa turkulaisen Lemmikkitalo Pikkulinnan palveluita, ja nyt on kyllä ihan pakko suositella kaikille. Paikka on siis erikoistunut BARF-ruokintaan* ja tarjoaa jäistä lihaa ihan joka lähtöön. Hinta vaihtelee lihasta riippuen 2.5 eurosta 3.5 euroon per kilo. Pakkauskoot alkavat niinkin pienestä kuin 500g ja, mikä parasta, tuotteet voi tilata nettilomakeella (joka toimii kyllä, vaikka sivulla  mainitaan ongelmista) ja palveluun kuuluu ilmainen kotiinkuljetus Turun ja Raision alueelle.

Iso osa tuotteista on ensisijaisesti koirille suunnattuja, mutta kissoillekin löytyy vaikka mitä, kun hetken aikaa selailee listaa. Esimerksi kanankauloja, kokonaisia kananpoikia, luineen jauhettuja siipiä, possun sisäselinsekoitusta ja jauhelihana ainakin kanaa, kalkkunaa, lohta, possua, lammasta ja nautaa.

Itse tilasin yhteensä 3.5 kiloa lihatuotteita noin niinkuin kokeilueränä, ja paketille tuli yhteensä hintaa alle 15 euroa.  Jos katille antaa vaikka 100g lihaa päivässä (ja päälle vitamiinit ja vähän jotain laadukasta purkkisapuskaa) niin tuosta määrästä yksi katti mussuttaa jo reilun kuukauden. Tulee reilusti mhalvemmaksi kuin pelkkä purkkiruuan syöttämienn, jopa siinäkin tapauksessa, että syöttäisi pelkästään jotain halvinta pskaa. Lisäksi katti pysyy terveempänä ja tyytyväisempänä (jos siis suostuvat syömään rakaa lihaa, kaikille kateille ei varmaankaan maistu).

Pientä ylimääräistä vaivannäköähän tuo vaatii (ja tukuittain pakastepusseja) kun liha täytyy itse pilkoa (ei kannata pakastaa kokonaista kilon könttiä, jottei sulatettua lihaa tarvitse sitten säilytellä kauaa jääkapissa) ja pussittaa. Meillä pilkkominen tehdää pehmeämpien tuotteiden kanssa isolla keittiöveitsellä (jotkut lajit tuntuvat olevan ihan pateemaisen pehmeää ja sileää tavaraa jäisenäkin) ja kovemmat köntit... kröhömm... minikirveellä.:)  Itse paloittelen lihat suunnilleen kahden annoksen kokoisiksi könteiksi (kahdelle kissalle, kerta) ja pistän pieniin pakastepusseihin ja pienet pussit isomassa pussissa laji kerrallaan pakkaseen. Normaali pakastin vetää hyvinkin 3 kiloa per lokero (tai meidän pakastin ainakin), joten ihan kohtuu paljon pystyy varastoimaan, vaikkei mitään arkkupakastinta omistakaan.

Kissa pääsi jo tänään testaamaan uusia herkkuja, ja vaikutti vallan iloiselta. Varsinkin se mainitsemani pateemainen lihatuote (joka luullakseni oli jauhettua kalkkunaa, kaikissa pusseissa ei ollut nimeä) näytti olevan aivan taivaallisen hyvää. Slurp ja Hyrrr!:)

All kinds of edibles have been shopped and  the apartment cleaned.  Tomorrow we're taking the train to Tampere to see my mom and the rest of the christmass we'll spend home, just the two of us. (The best kind of christmass I think. No fuss, just plenty of good food and some movies.)

I'm not going to even look at the bloody thesis until the 27th or so. After the christmass is properly over. My mentor told me to remake the entire structure of the thing O_o ....
Not frustrating at all, oh no.

So I figure I'd better have a couple of lazy days before getting back to it or else my head will surely explode.
How lucky for me, that some great people on the f-list have recced and posted lots and lots of christmassy fics for holiday reading:)

To have or not to have...

Difficult thing.

This whole active thesis writing thing is getting quite exhausting. I feel constantly as if I hadn't slept  enough and my brain doesn't seem to be running too smoothly.  My spirits are high as always tough, which is good.

Maybe it's stress or the darkness. Or maybe I am indeed gatting a nasty floo. (personally I vote for the stress.) I'm never chronically tired, and I hate it. Blaah.  Whatever the reason for this, I hope I get rid of it when the thesis is ready.

I've had a day off today and tomorrow I'll have at least a half a day of (in the evening I might do some writing. I should, really!)  But in the morning and early afternoon, the hubby and I are going to the nearby SPA fo rsome ralaxation.  That will surely do some good, at least for my stiff shoulders.

Jay! Whee!

I'm going to go see Daniel Cra...   I mean the new James Bond movie tonight with a bunch of lovely ladies from Turku.

I expect it to be most entertainig:)

I trying to get he thesis mostly wrapped up within the next two weeks. Then I'll take it to the professor for pleminary reading after wich I'll be taking a few more days to finish it. Then it should be all done. That measn I'll also finally take the to display the questionaire results here, as I've already promised to do several times (sorry about that). I'm soooo glad to get this thing off my hands soon.

Oh dear, someone's ruined the flower pots!

A while ago, maybe a month or so, I was going to do a meme, but then somehow forgot or didn't have time or something. The question was whose face would you want to have rather than your own?  I'd rather keep mine, but  I found someone whose face I tought was pretty much the prettiest I'd ever seen, but now I don't remember who it was or where I found the picture. And this just drives me grazy! How can I not remember? I always remember things...

I'm fairly sure she's an actress and maybe I saw her in some movie after which I came to think of this old meme and googled her. At first I tought she was the girl from The black dahlia, Mia Kirschner, because I she looked like her in this picture:





Only it wasn't her but someone who had a wider smile and long dark curly hair and (in the particular picture I found) smoky eyes and a slightly gothic look to her. She also looked somethig like Mary Louise Parker from weeds who has that wide smile. But it's not her either...





Who can it be? I just can't remember. Not the movie she was in, nor her name. Only her face. And I hate not remembering things.

If you can think of anyone who might fit the description (of looking similar to the afore mentioned ladies), please tell.

Hubby and I watched 5 more episodes of Lost in the evening (that makes 8 of them all together). Some of the earlier questions were anvered and Hubby's got a theory, wich I happily support: The bermuda triangle. Exept I'm not sure if it is possible they landed into that area. I couldn't quite follow the explanation of where their plane ended up.
